Premmie Packs
This is a selection of clothes in 00000 and 0000 that will help you get through the first couple of months (the very small sizes are harder to come by, and you might not need them for long). This is available for all members to borrow (not just those whose babies are born early), and if you would like a pack, please contact Patricia Plumb - premmiepacks@camba.amba.org.au.
Antenatal sessions
While most hospitals offer antenatal sessions for expectant parents, not many go into the details of what to expect when you’re expecting multiples. Our sessions are less about the birth itself, and more about the logistics of life with more than one baby. Run by mums and dads, they are the perfect opportunity to ask all those questions you might have. Covering everything from prams to sleeping and feeding, the sessions are full of tips and tricks for getting through the early months with your babies.
Our sessions are run quarterly, and our Antenatal Coordinator will be in touch with expectant parents once dates are known, or you can contact them directly, antenatal@camba.amba.org.au.
Under 1s and Expectant Playgroup
Getting out of the house with young babies is tough, and even tougher when you have more than one. But getting together with other parents who are going through a similar experience can provide much needed support and something to look forward to.
The Expectant and Under 1s Playgroup are held monthly, generally at the Bowen Street Community Centre in Camberwell.
It’s the perfect time to get out of the house and spend time with some people who understand what you are going through. People who understand if you are late, or need to leave early. People who are happy to help you get in and out of the car if you need it. People who can discuss the highs and lows of life with multiple babies. It’s a great place to share tips, or to just be around others for a few hours.
Expectant parents are also welcome to attend. It can be overwhelming to see what is to come, but it’s a great opportunity to connect with those who are a step ahead of where you are and ask some of those questions about what to expect.
For more details about the next session, contact underones@camba.amba.org.au.
Feeding Pillow Bank
We have a variety of feeding pillows which can be used for either breast feeding or bottle feeding. They are available to borrow for as long as you need them and we hope it makes life a little easier during feeding time.
Pillows can be picked up from the Bowen Street Community Centre, or contact support@camba.amba.org.au.
